In an attempt to move away from overthinking his practice, Resatio has developed a new practice where his decisions are guided by intuition rather than meticulous planning. At the same time, by deciding to make work for himself instead of worrying about what pleases the crowd, the artist has found himself feeling liberated. This new body of work reminded Resatio of Matisse's collages, leading him to create The Eskimo: Exquisite Forms and Their Opposites for this exhibition.

Artist Bio:
Resatio is a visual artist and graphic designer from Indonesia who works with collage, digital/mixed media, and drawings. His research process involves deep dives into the Internet to find both important and unimportant information for inspiration, explaining his use of digital kitsch from the Internet to make artworks. Resatio explains his practice is a response to living in this digital era, where anyone can be a pseudo-anything; some of his works get their titles from the Random Exhibition Title Generator website.
