In Day Off, artist Orkibal imagines the subject of da Vinci's Mona Lisa taking a break from being an object of adulation. The woman wears a swan dress in a reference to Icelandic artist Björk's iconic red carpet outfit. Elements reminding the viewer of Malaysia include the bunga raya (Chinese hibiscus) in her hair, as well as the food she's eating; kueh, nasi lemak bungkus, and teh tarik are all menu items commonly found at mamaks (open air food stalls).
