This work reconceptualises René Magritte's The Lovers through a Singaporean lens. Supermarket plastic bags are always country-specific, almost like a ubiquitous accessory to the general public. These logos are instantly recognisable, synonymous with the daily experiences of most Singaporeans. The characters are dressed in school uniforms as a humorous nod to Singaporeans' disdain for young couples who show affection in public spaces.
