Skate & Recite are two activities that Mahdi Albart has been enjoying recently, especially during quarantine. Inspired by the story behind Matisse's Music, Mahdi imagines himself and his group of friends as figures in the painting reciting and listening to the Holy Quran after a skate session.

Artist Bio:

Mahdi Albart is an Indonesian artist who works in the fields of graphic design, illustration, and painting. His comic book-style illustrations are tinged with positivity – fresh, vibrant, and filled with comedy gold. He takes inspiration from childhood cartoons, skate culture, and 90s pop culture.
