The Birth of Xiao Li by Keith Ang

This Eastern interpretation of Botticelli's The Birth of Venus is inspired by the cliche writing devices used in Chinese essays, such as the iconic scene descriptor and simple character name that Mandarin students are taught to use in Singapore schools.

Artist Bio:

Keith graduated with a BFA in Painting from Pratt Institute, New York. He straddles between the fields of fine art, graphic design and illustration, drawing inspiration from art history, popular culture and music. He has always been fascinated by the human psyche and is interested in exploring it through his works. Keith lives and works in Singapore.
